Buying Materials
On this page, you’ll learn how students buy and purchase course materials within My Courses.
If you have not yet purchased your course materials, you can buy them directly in My Courses. If you haven’t purchased your course materials yet, start by logging into My Courses through your school’s bookstore or LMS. Once you’re in, you can browse your assigned materials, select what you need, and check out — all in one place.
Many materials are available in a range of digital and print formats. Select the option you want, and then click Add to Basket.
You can also use the “add all to basket” link to automatically add everything you need to your cart. On the cart page, you can review these selections and make changes as needed before checking out.
After you complete the checkout process, you’ll receive a confirmation email about your purchase. You can open any digital items you’ve purchased by returning to My Courses and clicking on them.
Affordability programmes
If your school has a course materials affordability programme, some of your course materials may already be available to you. The banner at the top of the page will show how much time is left to opt out of the programme.
Each material in the affordability programme will have information about programme status and the option to opt in or out.
Item Cards for affordability programme materials contain the following additional information:
- Content type
- Instructions indicator: click View Details to see instructions for accessing this content
- Opt status information
- If opted out, you’ll see a “Want to Opt In?” button to opt in before the opt deadline passes
- If opted in, you’ll see an “Opt Out” link before the opt deadline passes
If you do not want to purchase your course material through the affordability programme, you can click the “Opt Out” link. You will see a confirmation message.
