Read Your Digital Textbooks Offline with Bookshelf® Apps!

Today’s students are busier than ever. Make the most of your valuable study time by studying anytime, anywhere, with our offline Bookshelf apps. Available for most popular devices, including iOS, Android, Fire, Chromebook, Mac and PCs, each app is uniquely tailored to provide you with an optimal learning experience.

Don’t have a username and password

Many users launch Bookshelf via a link in Canvas, Blackboard or other Learning Management System (LMS) without creating a Bookshelf username and password. If you access Bookshelf in this manner, you can still utilise our offline Bookshelf apps.

To get started, sign-in to your LMS on the laptopphone or tablet that you want to use and launch Bookshelf Online

From your PCMac or Chromebook

Once you have launched Bookshelf Online, click on the App Menu on the Library screen or the Settings icon along the left navigation bar from within the Reader. You will be given an option to download the app if you haven’t already done so.

If you choose to navigate to Bookshelf Online using your mobile browser, you will also receive a prompt when launching the reader asking if you wish to read using our native application.

I’ve launched the app… now what?

Once you launch the native app, you are logged in and won’t need to log in again (unless you actively sign out of the application). From here you can download books for offline reading. As you read and make notes and highlights, all of your work will automatically sync across all of your devices.
