IMPROVEMENT High Opt-Out Intervention report. The report will be retitled: At-Risk Participation Intervention Report. Report will retain the existing ‘High Opt-Out Intervention Report’ and will include a new dashboard tile focused on ‘Low Opt-In Remediation Report’ which will target institutions who have an Opt-In participation model.
IMPROVEMENT Access Programmes by Institution report. The report will contain a way to view whether the access model is new or existed in the previous term, this will be listed under ‘Catalogue Type’.
IMPROVEMENT Operational Insights (Channel Managers) dashboard. Additional tiles will be added around Accessibility work to support publishers in prioritising and reviewing the accessibility claims for all active titles in their inventory.

March 2026:
NEW Publisher-Delivered Courseware report - Provides publishers with insights into publisher-delivered courseware adoptions to help publishers complete final setups with customers to ensure that students can access content without issues.
NEW Publisher Accessibility Asset Availability report - Provides publishers with insights into their active assets that require accessibility claims for titles that are not actively being used. Available via Accessibility Insights report.
NEW Student Participation and Materials Report - Provides insights into the student’s programme decision and licence activity.
CHANGE Physical At-Risk Adoptions report. Will be retitled Adoptions At-Risk report and incorporate digital products.
CHANGE Student Charges by Section report. Two new fields will be included: Student Experience and List Price.

NEW Engagement Insights Dashboard. Provides publishers and institutions with engagement insights related to page views, CoachMe, AI Tutor, etc.
NEW Sales by Day Report - Provides insight into the previous day’s sales to help a publisher understand how they are trending leading up to the official Publisher Compensation report.
NEW Performance Dashboard - Provides publishers with overall performance insights, including engagement metrics, market insights and platform performance metrics.
CHANGE PI Term Readiness report. Will include a simplified action column to support better clarity around next steps.
IMPROVEMENT Access Programmes Tracking report. Will incorporate new insights related to opt-outs.

FEBRUARY 2026:
CHANGE Affordability Programme reporting. All affordability programme reporting will undergo a brand change to our ‘Day One Access’ terminology. This includes changing values such as ‘IA’ to ‘CA’ (Course Access) and ‘EA’ to ‘TA’ (Total Access) and some changes to the report names. Reports that will experience terminology changes include: Affordability Programme Tracking (will be retitled: Access Programme Tracking Report), Affordability Programmes Accessibility (will be retitled: Day One Access Accessibility Report), High Opt-Out Intervention (retitled: At-Risk Participation Intervention), PI Dashboard, PI Term Readiness, Programme Models by Institution, Operational Insights Dashboard, Opportunity Strategy Planning, Opt-Out Action Report, Year-over-Year Affordability Programme Forecast (retitled: Year-over-Year Day One Access Trends Dashboard). These changes will be implemented on 27 February 2026.
CHANGE North America: Normalised ‘Term’ designation will be realigned to the following: Autumn (1 August–30 November), Winter/Spring (1 December–30 April), Summer (1 May–31 July). This realignment is being made due to unexpected confusion that resulted in the recent adjustment made in October 2025. This change will be implemented on 27 February 2026.

JANUARY 2026:
IMPROVEMENT Student Purchases report. A new field to identify whether a purchase was completed using more than one payment method (i.e. a split payment) for a specific item has now been incorporated. This change was implemented on 31 January 2026.

NEW North America: Operational Insights Dashboard - Provides channel managers with insights into their business with VitalSource. This includes opportunities, operational readiness and enrolment and participation insights. (Released in November 2025)
NEW Akademos Submitted Adoptions Report - Provides insights into adoptions as they are submitted. (Released in December 2025)
NEW Akademos Physical At-Risk Adoptions Report - Provides insight into at-risk to fulfil physical/print adoptions that require intervention. (Released in December 2025)
NEW Akademos Student Purchases Report - Provides insights into purchases made via the bookstore. (Released in December 2025)
CHANGE PI Term Readiness report. Two column field names – Adopted ISBN and VitalSource SKU – will be retitled to: Adopted Item and Matched Item, respectively. This is to bring the nomenclature into alignment with the Affordability Programme Tracking Report. This change was implemented on 23 December 2025.

OCTOBER 2025:
CHANGE North America: Normalised ‘Term’ designation will be realigned to the following: Autumn (1 August–31 December), Winter/Spring (1 January–30 April), Summer (1 May–31 July). This realignment will make publisher reporting simpler and will align with institutional breakout.
IMPROVEMENT Codes by Product report. The report will include three (3) new fields: ‘Publisher’, ‘Related Digital ISBN’ and ‘Related Print ISBN’. This will allow publisher users to better utilise the report.
IMPROVEMENT Explore Renewal Insights report. This report will include one (1) new field: ‘Subscription Owner’. This will allow publishers to have a better understanding of subscriptions in various models.
IMPROVEMENT High Opt-Out Intervention report. This report will remove the existing ‘Cost to Bookstore‘ field and will be replaced with four (4) new fields: ‘IA Programme Price‘, ‘IA Price Type‘, ‘EA Programme Price‘ and ‘EA Price Type‘. This will provide publishers with a clearer breakout of pricing when an institution is participating in the Flexible Access Model.
IMPROVEMENT Opportunity Strategy Planning, High Opt-Out Intervention, PI Term Readiness and Affordability Programme Tracking reports. Each report contains one (1) new field: ‘Campus Name’. This will allow publishers to view institutional data by campus.

FEATURE In-App Notification Messages now appear at the top of the Analytics & Insights landing page. Notifications can be dismissed and will reappear each time the landing page is refreshed.
