Deep-linking into the Bedford Collection via your Barnes & Noble's LMS

Barnes & Noble College now supports Explore Subscription deep linking through your LTI-compliant LMS/portal. Please confirm with your LMS admin that the appropriate external tool has been configured within your LMS before proceeding.

Note: A pre-existing integration with Barnes & Noble College is required. If you need to set up the integration with Barnes & Noble College, please click on the name of your Learning Management System (LMS) below to access instructions.

Prior to creating links in your course, identify which Bedford Bookshelf (BBS) Collection you are using and the VitalSource Subscription SKU.

enterbookSku(vbid) = eISBN of the Book

LAUNCHING STUDENTS TO A SPECIFIC PAGE FROM A BBS COLLECTION eBOOK: 

To create a deep link to content, you must have access to the content via the LMS integration.

  1. In the Yuzu eReader, navigate to the location of the book that you want to link to.
  2. In the Table of Contents, click the three-dot icon, then click Copy Page URL.
  3. A pop-up will appear with the URL. Click Copy.
  4. Open the Prefile Deep-Linking template and paste the copied URL in column D: ‘Paste Copied Page URL from Bookshelf’ on that title’s row.
  5. Copy the URL in Column E to distribute the link to your content from within your LMS.
