Downloading Data Sets

Each report or dashboard is made up of “tiles”. For reports, there is typically only one tile – the data-set.

  • Within a report or dashboard, hover over the report field headers toward the right hand corner. You’ll see three dots (when you hover, it’ll say “Tile actions”), click, then select “Download data”

    • A pop up will appear and the default format will be “CSV” (see note below)

    • Select “Advanced data options”

    • DO NOT change the settings under “Results” or “Data values”, else you may corrupt the data export

    • Under the “Number of rows to include”, select “All results” to export the data-set to include any rows past the defaulted 500 visible in the interface

    • Click “Download” to download your results (Note: once you click “Download”, depending on the size of the data being extracted, you won’t necessarily see your browser do anything for a few minutes. Once the data has been extracted, you’ll see your browser update the “download” icon typically found in the top right of your browser. This is a limitation of Looker application that VitalSource is not able to alter at this time.)
