At-Risk Participation Intervention Report

Purpose

Provides insight to potential at-risk adoptions due to either: high opt-out rates or low opt-in rates (depending on the institution’s participation model) by section and item. 

Report Notes

  • The access filter will automatically filter the report to only show products that the user’s company (in Manage) owns, and this filter will only show available values.

1High Opt-Out Intervention Report
  • Identifies sections with high opt-out rates before the opt-out date based the following parameters:
    • The course opt-out deadline is in the next 14 days.
    • The section is active and has a rostered count > 0 (number of enrolled students).
    • For courseware, the opt-out rate is greater than or equal to 5%.
    • For other materials, the opt-out rate is greater than or equal to 10%.
2Low Opt-In Intervention Report
  • Identifies sections with low opt-in rates before the opt-in date based the following parameters:
    • It is less than 8 days before the term start date and the opt-in deadline has not passed yet.
    • The section is active and has a rostered count > 0
    • More than 50% of rostered students have not opted-in

Access Program

Program that an Institution offers, by catalog (i.e., the specific department, course, section, and adopted content)

Included values:

  • TA - indicates Total Access
  • FA - indicates Flexible Access
  • CA - indicates Course Access
Adopted ItemISBN and rental duration of item adopted in Connect (This is the “Billing ISBN” in the Connect system)
CA Price Type

Categorization of the price for CA or FA

ℹ️ Price Type of ‘Connect Custom’ indicates that the price has been entered but has yet to be matched and verified.
CA Program PricePrice of the item submitted by the Bookstore into Connect for CA or FA
Campus NameName of the campus at the institution (provided by the institution)
Course CodeThe course name
Department CodeThe department name
InstitutionName of the institution (Manage company name)
InstructorInstructor name for the course (if available)

Matched ItemVitalSource ID associated with the adopted item (if a match exists in the VitalSource system)

Number of students rostered into the section (to-date)

ℹ️ This number may fluctuate during the add/drop period.

Term

Standardized term name, based on term start date (ex: Fall-2024, Winter/Spring-2025)

⚠️ The institution-defined term is not necessarily the same as the standardized term. For example, you may see some schedules names that may say “Spring” and appear in the “Winter” or “Summer” term.
