Explore Asset Engagement Report

Purpose

Provides visibility into Bookshelf engagement activity specifically for assets within an Explore subscription model.

Report Notes

  • The access filter will automatically filter the report to show subscriptions, including all assets.
    • For fulfillment, this is based on the subscription owner.
    • For buy/sell or market place, this is based on the asset owner (i.e., your system user have the correct companies associated).

Institution Country

Country the institution is located (2-character code)
✅ To view all fulfillment, buy/sell, and marketplace collections, filter this field to your respective countries.
Institution Name of the institution (Manage company name) Use to filter to a specific Institution.

Asset Publisher

Publisher of the asset (Manage company name)
✅  To identify where your local assets are being used in Explore through fulfillment, buy/sell, or marketplace, filter this field to your respective publisher.

Asset VBID

Manage VBID of the asset activated by the end user

Use to search for a specific asset or for many assets.

You can easily copy/paste multiple values. This can be completed through copying a column of ISBNs or VBIDs from an excel-like document or copying ISBNs or VBIDs separated by commas.

🔵 Multi-search can support up to 16,000 values
⚠️ Copying ISBNs or VBIDs separated by semi-colon does not work.
Subscription ID Subscription VBID or Transaction ID (for Marketplace) Use to search for a specific subscription.

Subscription Name

Subscription Name Use to search for a specific subscription.
Subscription Owner Name of the company that owns the subscription (Manage Company Name) Filter results to only view subscriptions by a specific owner.
Subscription Start Date Date the subscription begins. Use to set a date range, relative date (e.g., “last month”), or specific date.
Subscription End Date Date the subscription ends. Use to set a date range, relative date (e.g., “last month”), or specific date.
Asset Start Date
The date a user begins using a specific asset.

Defaulted to results in the “last 7 days”

Use to set a date range, relative date (e.g., “last month”), or specific date.

User GUID 

Unique identifier represents the user that accessed the content
Asset VBID Manage VBID of the asset activated by the end user

Asset Item Name 

Name of the asset activated by the end user
Asset Start Date Date the asset was activated
Asset Return Date

Date the asset was returned by the end user prior to the Asset End Date.

📄 This field is only populated where the associated Explore sale supports returns and the user actively returns the asset.

Asset Page Count

Number of pages in the asset (where available)

Asset Publisher Publisher of the asset (Manage company name)
Page Views (Overall)

Number of pages viewed (cumulatively) by the end user

📄 For example, if an asset has 20 pages and each are viewed 5 times, the Page Views (Total) would reflect '100'.
