This quick guide shows you how to submit course material adoptions for your upcoming term. Prompt adoptions help ensure affordable books are available for your students on time.
➡️ 1) Access & Select Courses
🔗 Use the personalized link in your adoption email to access directly, OR:
🌐 Go to your institution’s Collect URL, click Get Started, then on the next screen enter your email and full name and click Email Personalized Link. Open that email and use your link to access.
📂 After signing in, you’ll see your Open Courses list. Select the course(s) and section(s) you need to adopt for.
If multiple sections will use the same materials, you can select them together.
If sections need different materials, adopt for them one at a time.
➡️ 2) Choose Your Adoption Path
➕ Yes, I need to add materials → add books, OER, coursepacks, or supplies.
➖ No, I do not need to add materials → mark as No Text Required and submit. (Optional: leave a note for the Adoptions Enablement team.)
➡️ 3) Add Materials

🔁 Option A — Re-use previous adoptions
Open Copy Another Adoption.
Browse prior terms/courses/sections, click Add Book for any item you want.
Your choices appear under Selected Materials (use Remove if needed).

🆕 Option B — Add new materials
Click Add New Materials and search by ISBN, title, or author; choose the correct type (Book, Courseware, Bundle).
If you can’t find it, click Add Manually and enter details.
For a coursepack, click Add Coursepack and provide title/description.
🆕 4) Review & Submit
Click Review & Submit (top right).
Confirm everything looks right; add optional notes if needed.
Click Submit Adoptions to finish.
Submitted courses move to Completed Courses; repeat for any remaining Open courses.
✅ Tips
🏠 You can return to the home screen anytime to switch courses.
✏️ You can revise a submission until it’s marked Reviewed/Approved.
