Jenzabar LTI 1.3 Tool Setup and Link Placement

These instructions describe how to register the VitalSource LTI 1.3 tool and enable LTI 1.3 launches in the Jenzabar learning management system (LMS). 

Tool Setup

1. Navigate to Learning Tools page and select the option to Manage all tools.
2. Select Add a new learning tool.
3. Basic tool info
   - Name: VitalSource
   - Category: Learning Tool
   - Description: not required

4. Select Share this tool and Add this to the list of featured tools.

   

5. Ensure that the LTI version in the drop-down displays “LTI 1.3” and enter the following URLs: 
   a) Location URL: https://bc.vitalsource.com
   b) Initiate login URL:  will be provided by VitalSource
   c) Redirection URI(s): https://bc.vitalsource.com/oauth2callback
   d) Keyset URL: https://bc.vitalsource.com/ltia/security/jwks
6. Copy and save ClientID, Issuer, Public Keyset URL, Open ID Connect Endpoint, Access Token URL, and Deployment ID (optional) to send to your VitalSource representative.

7. Select Show the tool in a new popup window.

   

8. Ensure permissions are all enabled for Shared information in Advanced setup.

   

STEP 2: Add VitalSource Course-Level Link

1. Add a New Page and name the page "Course Materials".

2. Select Learning Tools.

   

3. Select VitalSource under either "Your learning tools" or the Featured tools list.  
4. Click "Launch VitalSource"
