The Access Information section covers the following data:

Accessibility SummaryEnter a human-readable summary of specific accessibility features or deficiencies.
Accessibility Summary LanguageEnter the language code describing the language in which Accessibility Summary was written.
Access Mode Sufficient ℹ️ Choose one or more Access Modes that are sufficient to understand all the intellectual content of the title.
Access ModeChoose one or more Access Modes through which one can process the title's information
EPUB LayoutReflowable (pre-established data)
ℹ️ All really means all. Access Mode Sufficient for example. A math book with many diagrams (pictures) cannot just me marked visual or textual. That would mean that a reader could get all the information they need by either reading or looking at the picture. This title needs to be marked visual and textual, meaning that in order to fully understand the content, the user needs to read the text as well as absorb the pictures.

Features and Hazards

Features and Hazards.png

The Features and Hazards section covers the following data:

Accessibility Feature

Choose one or more accessibility features of the resource.

Features and adaptations that contribute to the overall accessibility of the content (e.g., alternative text, extended descriptions, captions).

Accessibility Hazard

Any potential hazards that the content presents (e.g., flashing, motion simulation, sound).

Hazards are characteristics that are physiologically dangerous to some users.

If the content has hazard(s), include positive assertions for the hazards it has and negative assertions for the others. If none of the hazards are known to exist instead of calling out each non-hazard it is recommended to use "none".

If the property is not set in the positive or negative or is specifically set to unknown, the state of hazards is not known.

ℹ️ None vs. Unknown: Even though you may not think there are hazards in the content, you cannot mark a title none. The title needs to be marked unknown until proven otherwise.

Certifications and Exceptions
