We have removed the Default Student Item Message functionality from Connect. Moved tabbed item content to "front" of card

What’s changed?

We’ve redesigned the course material cards in Course Dashboard to make item notes and attachments more accessible to users. We’ve removed the tabbed navigation from the top of the card layout and incorporated the content from those tabs onto the main course material display.

Item notes, which can be edited in Verba Connect, are now displayed on the center of the card. Lengthy notes will be truncated, and a small “view more” link will be added to allow users to see the full note. Short notes will appear in full without having to click anything.

Attachments are now accessed through a button on the card. As before, this only appears when the item has attachments. Attachments can be uploaded in Verba Connect.

Students page: initial page load improvements

What’s changed?

We’ve updated the Student page behavior, for both IA/EA catalogs, to optimize user experience.

Initial page load of the Students page no longer involves loading the “All Students” filter. Instead, it will not load any students and users can search & or filter as needed. Some additional details:

  • When no filters are selected, search defaults to querying All Students.
  • We’ve added a shortcut link to download the selected catalog’s Students Report when no search/filters are selected.
  • Search will continue to respect filters when selected.
  • On initial page load there will not be a student count but that does not mean no students exist for the catalog.
