In addition to the various ways you can create summative assessments, you can use assessment settings to create specific rules surrounding assessments. Some of these settings are:

Attempts: You can set the number of times that students can take the assessment.

Scores: If multiple attempts are allowed, you can choose to grade the best attempt, grade the last attempt, or average the scores.

Feedback Availability: Select which type of feedback is available depending on the assessment's deadline.

Late work: You can choose to accept or not accept late work.

Scheduling: You can schedule summative assessments individually to be available only during a certain time period.

When it comes time to set up your live course, be sure to communicate with your Engagement Manager about your desired assessment settings. These settings must be set up before students enter the course.
