Submit & Compare

In a Submit and Compare question, students read a question or consider some other content, submit a thoughtful response to whatever is requested of them, then compare their work to an expert response provided by the author of the question.

Submit and Compare is a free-form text input field. This type of activity does not result in data that can be reported to the dashboard.

Tips for Writing Submit & Compare Questions

Because this type of activity does not result in data that can be reported to the dashboard, consider following up with a multiple-choice question that asks students to assess and report how close their answer was to the expert response. You may also want to follow up with a content question that assesses whether students have grasped the concept.
