  • CHANGE PI Term Readiness report. Two column field names – Adopted ISBN and VitalSource SKU – will be retitled to: Adopted Item and Matched Item, respectively. This is to bring the nomenclature into alignment with the Affordability Program Tracking Report. This change will be implemented December 23, 2025.

  • CHANGE High Opt-Out Intervention report. Column - VitalSource SKU - will be retitled to: “Matched Item”. This is to bring the nomenclature into alignment with the Affordability Program Tracking Report. This change will be implemented December 23, 2025.

  • CHANGE Year-over-Year Affordability Program Forecast report. This report will be retitled: “Year-over-Year Day One Access Trends Dashboard” to better represent the data presented in the board. This change will be implemented December 23, 2025.

  • Spring 2026:

    • NEW Performance Dashboard - Provides publishers with overall performance insights, including: engagement metrics, market insights, and platform performance metrics.

    • NEW Sales by Day Report - Provides insight to the prior day’s sales to help a publisher understand how they are trending leading up to the official Publisher Compensation report.

    • NEW Publisher Delivered Courseware report - Provides publishers with insights to publisher-delivered courseware adoptions to help publishers in completing final setups with customers to ensure students can access content without issues.

    • IMPROVEMENT High Opt-Out Intervention report. The report will be retitled: At-Risk Participation Intervention Report. Report will retain the existing “High Opt-Out Intervention Report” and will include a new dashboard tile focused on “Low Opt-In Remediation Report” which will target institutions who have an Opt-In participation model.

    • IMPROVEMENT Program Models by Institution report. The report will contain a way to view whether the program model is new or existed in the previous term.

    • CHANGE Affordability Program reporting. All affordability program reporting will undergo a brand change to our “Day One Access” terminology. This includes changing values such as “IA” to “CA” (Course Access) and “EA” to “TA” (Total Access) and some changes to the report names. Reports that will experience terminology changes include: Affordability Program Tracking (will be retitled: Access Program Tracking Report), Affordability Programs Accessibility (will be retitled: Day One Access Accessibility Report), High Opt-Out Intervention (retitled: At-Risk Participation Intervention), PI Dashboard, PI Term Readiness, Program Models by Institution, Operational Insights Dashboard, Opportunity Strategy Planning, Opt-Out Action Report, Year-over-Year Affordability Program Forecast (retitled: Year-over-Year Day One Access Trends Dashboard). These changes will be implemented February 27, 2026.

    • CHANGE North America: Normalized “Term” designation will be re-aligned to the following: Fall (August 1 - November 30), Winter/Spring (December 1 - April 30), Summer (May 1 - July 31). This realignment is being made due to unexpected confusion that resulted in the recent adjustment made in October 2025. This change will be implemented February 27,2026.

  • OCTOBER 2025:

    • CHANGE North America: Normalized “Term” designation will be re-aligned to the following: Fall (August 1 - December 31), Winter/Spring (January 1 - April 30), Summer (May 1 - July 31). This realignment will make publisher reporting simpler and will align with institutional breakout.

    • IMPROVEMENT Codes by Product report. The report will include three (3) new fields: “Publisher”, “Related Digital ISBN”, and “Related Print ISBN”. This will allow publisher users to better utilize the report.

    • IMPROVEMENT Explore Renewal Insights report. This report will include one (1) new field: “Subscription Owner”. This will allow publishers to have a better understanding of subscriptions in various models.

    • IMPROVEMENT High Opt-Out Intervention report. This report will remove the existing “Cost to Bookstore” field and will be replaced with four (4) new fields: “IA Program Price”, “IA Price Type”, “EA Program Price”, and “EA Price Type”. This will provide publishers with a clearer breakout of pricing when an institution is participating in the Flexible Access Model.

    • IMPROVEMENT Opportunity Strategy Planning, High Opt-Out Intervention, PI Term Readiness, and Affordability Program Tracking reports. Each report contains one (1) new field: “Campus Name”. This will allow publishers to view institutional data by campus.

  • September 2025:

    • FEATURE In-App Notification Messages now appear at the top of the Analytics & Insights landing page. Notifications can be dismissed and will reappear each time the landing page is refreshed.

  • August 2025:

    • FEATURE Users can now sort the Analytics & Insights landing page by Name and Category.

    • FEATURE Reports and Dashboards now contain links to Success Site report documentation. Documentation links to English, Portuguese, and Spanish documentation, where applicable.

    • BUG FIX Category menu is now displaying categories in alphabetical order.

  • JUNE 2025: VitalSource is pleased to offer institutions and publishers access to four (4) new accessibility reports including: Affordability Programs Accessibility Report (for publishers and institutions); Explore Asset Accessibility Report (for publishers); Active Product Accessibility Risk Report (for publishers); and Available Product Catalog Accessibility Report (for publishers and institutions).
