Concurrent User Limits in Explore

A concurrent user limit can be used by content providers to control the amount of times an individual title can be accessed from a subscription. Bookshelf now provides an intuitive interface for user’s to track the overall concurrent user limit of content they have access to within a subscription.

Borrowing a Book

When a user is interested in
borrowing a book, they will be
able to see if that book is
available and how many copies
are left. The loan period
indicates how long that user will
be able to borrow that book for.
If all copies are in use, the user
will be told to check back later.

Returning a Book

The detailed view lists all of the user's borrowed books, shows how long they have to read them, and offers the ability to return them when done.

At the bottom of the screen will be a running total of the user’s borrowed books. Clicking the More Info button will open up a detailed list of all their borrowed books.

Unavailable Book

When content has reached its concurrent user limit, the user will see an unavailable message. The book will be available to borrow again as soon as another user returns it.
