The Student Charges by Section Report provides student charges at the section level for Course Access programs. It is used to supplement the Charge File delivered from Connect, giving institutions a detailed view of per-section pricing before the invoice date arrives.

How to Use This Report

Step-by-step guidance for getting value from this report.

  1. Start with the filters — Use the Invoice Date filter to scope results to the billing period you care about. Combine with Term (Institution) or Term Start Date to narrow to a specific term.

  2. Interpret the results — Each row represents a single section. Review CA Student Price and TA Student Price to understand the pricing for each access type. For non-FA schools, Student Price reflects the applicable charge.

  3. Take action — Use this report to validate charges before the invoice date, reconcile pricing against your institution's Charge File, or identify sections with upcoming opt-in/opt-out deadlines.

💡 Tip: Data is limited to sections whose invoice date is in the future only. If a section is not appearing, confirm the invoice date has not already passed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why don't I see all of my sections in this report?
A: This report only includes sections whose invoice date is in the future. Sections that have already been invoiced will not appear.

Q: What is the difference between CA Student Price and TA Student Price?
A: These fields apply to FA (Financial Aid) tech schools, where Course Access (CA) and Total Access (TA) are priced separately. For non-FA schools, use the Student Price field.

Q: Why does my data differ from the Charge File delivered by Connect?
A: This report is intended to supplement the Charge File, not replace it. Differences may occur due to timing, schedule updates, or opt-in/opt-out changes after the report was last refreshed.
