Deep-linking into the Bedford Collection via your LMS

 

Prerequisite: VitalSource LTI 1.3 Integration

  1. Open the Deep Linking Tool
    After clicking the Deep Linking External Tool in your LMS, you’ll see a list of associated course materials.

🔸 Note: If you’re unclear about which external tool to select, please contact your LMS administrator

Linking to a subscription or e-book

  1. Locate and Select Your Content
    Find the subscription or e-book you want to link to and click: your selection and click

    • Link to Subscription or

    • Link to e-book

  2. Review Your Selection

A side panel will appear, showing a summary of what you’ve chosen. Click “Review & Submit” to continue

  1. Finalize and Add to Course

On the confirmation screen, you can remove any links if needed. When ready, click “Add to Course.”

Linking to a Specific Location Within an e-book

  1. Locate and Click Link to Specific Page.

Find your e-book in the list and select Link to Specific Page. The e-book’s Table of Contents (TOC) will appear.

  1. Make Your Selections
  • Click the chapter name(s) to deep link to the entire chapter.
  • Or, click the arrow beside the chapter name to expand and view individual sections.
  • Click to select one or more items. Selected items will be highlighted in blue.

  1. Add Your Selected Materials
    Once you’ve made your selections scroll down and click “Add Materials”.

  1. Review Your Selections
    A side panel will appear summarizing your choices. Click “Review & Submit” to continue.

  1. Finalize and Add to Course
    On the confirmation screen, you can remove any links if needed. When ready, click “Add to Course.”

Your selected deep links will now be available in your LMS. From here, you can edit the titles or organization of these links as needed.
