Explore Interface Update: A Unified Bookshelf® Experience
To deliver a more seamless and consistent user experience, the Explore interface now aligns with the familiar design of the standard Bookshelf experience.
All the features you know and rely on remain fully supported—now presented in the refreshed, cohesive look that you already know.
Here’s a look at what’s changed:
Book actions now use the same 3-dot menu functionality as the rest of the Bookshelf experience.
3-Dot Menu Options
- Borrow / Open Book: Clicking this will open the book
- Return: If previously activated and part of an Explore adoption
- *For library adoptions only
- Book Details will display:
- Borrowing Details (*Library adoptions only): Loan period and returns
- Book Details: Author, Publisher, Identifiers, Bookshelf URL
- Description: Publisher provided summary of the book
- Search Inside Book: This will open a search side panel. Users can then search for specific words or phrases inside of the book.
- Add to Favorites: This will "Favorite" the book which will then be added to the "Favorites" section in Bookshelf.
- Remove from Favorites: This will remove a previously favorited title from Bookshelf user's "Favorites" section in Bookshelf.
